Next week sees the return of the annual Taste of Nottingham event which aims to showcase the very best food and drink that the city has to offer.
There’s a whole host of exciting events and offers running throughout the week, including £10 menus at some of the city’s favourite venues: World Service, Cape, Patisserie Valerie, Red Hot World Buffet, Rum House, Suede, The Stage and Wildwood.
Elsewhere, a selection of venues will also be hosting cookery masterclasses – ranging from sushi making to burrito workshops, to craft beer and sausage tasting.
There’s also a Taste Trail around the city – where you can try sample dishes or products from various restaurants for just £1 each.
The week culminates in The Great Notts Show in Old Market Square from Thursday 24 September to Sunday 27 September.

Last night Eat Midlands was lucky enough to be part of a bloggers’ tour that showcased some of the venues taking part. In a culinary mystery tour we made our way around the city, stopping at a different venue for each course.
First off was The Bear and Lace in Maid Marian Way for cocktails (which were amazing!), followed by a selection of tasty sausages and nibbles at Oaks, also in Maid Marian Way.
For our main course we stopped off at Yamas in Thurland Street, where we enjoyed a selection of tempting mezze dishes, before heading round the corner to Rub in Fletcher Gate for dessert – and, oh, what desserts they were!
